While hair got higher, the New Romantics came (and went), Madonna was still like a virgin and Gene Hunt was keeping our streets safe, Gilbert and Sullivan carried on regardless.
The Great Yarmouth Society put on a full costume production each year - and even started doing their performances in colour. What a decade!
