2000 to 2007
Patience, the performance scheduled for 2007, was the performance that never happened. The cast was set and the rehearsals on track.
The unexpected closure of the St. George’s theatre put a stop to it - and from then until now (2010) the Society has not prepared a full costume production. Instead we have fallen back on concert performances in a range of smaller venues.
There was a brief flirtation with the Town Hall as an alternative venue (hence the poster, left) but this too fell through.
Of course the aim is to return to full costume productions, building up the funds necessary and aiming to attract new performers as well as a new audience.
