Great Yarmouth Gilbert and Sullivan Society
In Concert

The concert programme for the current season - May and July 2010 - reached its grand finale at the Priory Centre in Great Yarmouth on Saturday 17th of July.

The audience not only enjoyed the music, but also indulged in Strawberries and Cream during the interval (included in the ticket price) - a lovely end to the season.

The Society performed a variation on the Season’s programme - some planned and some not!

A lovely (planned) addition to the programme was provided by arrangements by the Musical Director, Peter Murray, of ‘What a Wonderful World’, ‘A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square’ and ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’.

The seasons programme included songs from Trial by Jury, HMS Pinafore, Pirates of Penzance, and Haddon Hall - built around large extracts from Patience, a satisfying portion of a production contemporary to G&S, The Arcadians, and rounded off by finales from Princess Ida, Ruddigore and Iolanthe.

You will find more details of the programme here.
